every fall, we load the car with paint-can tins and take melt. on the road to michigan craft shows, fall markets, and pop-ups around white lake and metro detroit. here's why the market table is our favorite place to be — and how to find it.

why come sniff in person

candles are the last product on earth you should buy without smelling (we say this as people who sell them online — the descriptions are good, but noses are undefeated). at the table you can sniff all of them: fall pours, the designer collection, best sellers, and whatever tiny experimental batch rachel poured that week that will never appear on the website.

the market ritual

regulars know: sniff everything, make a shortlist of three, walk one lap of the market 'to think about it,' return, and buy four. we watch this exact sequence happen every weekend and honestly, we find it beautiful.
