after hours: our Oud Wood inspired candle (the $420 scent for $40)
if you've ever smelled Oud Wood by Tom Ford and immediately checked the price tag ($420+ for a bottle), this one's for you. after hours is our hand-poured love letter to that exact scent profile — in a 16oz paint can tin, for $40.
what Oud Wood actually smells like
Dark, smooth, and quietly expensive. Oud Wood took fragrance's most intense ingredient — resinous agarwood — and sanded every rough edge off it, wrapping it in creamy rosewood and a whisper of spice. It smells like a dim bar with leather chairs, after everyone interesting has already arrived.
how after hours captures it
We built after hours around that same velvet-dark oud accord, letting the rosewood soften it and the cardamom lift it, then tuned it for a wooden wick and soy wax so the throw is warm instead of overwhelming. The result fills a living room the way the original fills a collar.
the notes: rare oud, rosewood, cardamom — in a clean-burning natural soy blend with a crackling wooden wick, hand-poured in small batches in White Lake, Michigan.
when to burn it
Late nights, whiskey pours, the last hour of a dinner party when the music gets quieter and the conversation gets better.
the math that makes this fun
a $420 bottle of Oud Wood gets worn by one person at a time. a $40 after hours scents the entire room for roughly 80 hours — about 50 cents an hour for everyone present. we're not saying it replaces the bottle. we're saying your living room deserves nice things too.
start with the 2oz mini ($8) if you want to sniff-test before committing, or meet the whole family on the designer collection page — twelve luxury-inspired scents, zero velvet rope.
